The Ugly Monkey is the place to be on Friday nights. Mofos never pay the cover when they mention Mojo at the door and, this week, The Ugly Monkey will pay you $1.00 when you say "pay me to party."

Join IndyFringe for its first ever Hispanic FringeFriday featuring Hispanic food and music, plus a special performance of Las Nuevas Tamaleras from VIDA theatre group, based out of the IU Spanish department in Bloomington.

Las Nuevas Tamaleras (1990), by San Antonio playwright Alicia Mean, is a one act bilingual comedy that captures three young Chicanas in their first attempt to prepare tamales. Things get complicated when the spirits of Doa Juanita and Doa Mercedes appear and try, invisibly, to act as guides to the younger women.

Mix & Mingle begins at 5:30 pm, with performances at 6:15 pm. The program concludes by 7:30 pm.

FringeFriday is held on the last Friday of each month at various venues in the Massachusetts Avenue Arts and Cultural District. FringeFriday features special performances by current and past IndyFringe performers, skits, live music occasionally, and other surprises. FringeFriday typically includes a cash bar and hors d'ouevres, but admission is free.

Join the Local Theater Fan Club for news about this and other local theatre events.

They'll be watching a couple of Christmas movies from the comfort of The BOOffice to get into the holiday spirit.

Feel free to bring snacks, sodas, beers and friends. Or, just take a stroll down the street for some fine refreshments during intermission.
